About

As a practicing lawyer and researcher based in Delhi, I work at the intersection of State authority and fundamental rights (as paradoxical as it may sound!). I broadly focus on criminal justice, freedom of expression, personal liberty, and human rights.
Having been intellectually influenced by the philosophy of John Locke and J.S. Mill, I navigate the pathways to make a difference in the society – by helping individuals realize their freedom and by enabling intellectual discourse through research on issues inviting my interest.
I believe that every individual should possess the freedom to pursue their own happiness if it does not encroach upon the freedom of others, as against the State, which tends to decide for them, being their ‘Big Brother’. This conviction is rooted in my belief in classical liberal philosophy, staunchly defending the importance of limited government, private property, and individualism.
As Montesquieu rightly said, “[t]here is no greater tyranny than that which is perpetrated under the shield of the law and in the name of justice.” My primary concern revolves around ensuring personal liberty for all, while holding the State accountable for its actions, both, through judicial intervention and academic.
